Lionel Legacy Engine Control

Take command over your engine's speed, direction, quilling whistle, bell, and more through an intuitive gesture-driven interface.

Here are ten distinct gestures:

• Change Speed
• Quilling Whistle
• Ding Bell
• Halt System
• Turn Bell On/Off
• Open Front Coupler
• Open Rear Coupler
• Go Forward
• Go Backward
• Adjust Momentum (accelerate or decelerate to reach target speed)

Manage an engine's physical effects:

• Control the cab light and ditch lights
• Adjust the smoke unit output
• Power the engine on and off (with crew talk options)
• Set engine speed to predefined railroad speeds (with crew talk options)
• Adjust momentum (accelerate or decelerate to reach target speed)
• Reset the engine

The new Gesture Assistant facilitates learning and mastering each gesture efficiently.

Engine Style

You have the flexibility to personalize the engine control appearance for each engine, allowing for easy visual identification. For instance, locating your Union Pacific SD-40 engine on the list is made simpler.

Diverse Engine Style options enable you to tailor your engines:

• Select an image of your engine from your Photo Library.
• Capture an image of your engine directly from the app.
• Utilize an app generated image (shortened name plus road number).
• iPad users can drag and drop photos.

SensorTrack™ Recording

• Easily initiate a recording without touching the physical SensorTrack™ record button.
• Track the recording progression:
  • Green – sufficient space available in the recording.
  • Yellow – recording capacity is beginning to fill up.
  • Red – conclude the recording soon.

SensorTrack™ Predefined Actions

Rapidly switch between predefined recordings without using the physical SensorTrack™ program button.

LCS Module Discovery

All linked LCS modules and SensorTracks are identified automatically.

LCS Module Identification

• All Lionel LCS hardware modules can activate an identification LED for easy recognition.

Connectivity Notes

• High Rail connects with a Lionel Layout Control System (LCS) Wi-Fi and other LCS hardware control devices.
• Users can link via LCS Wi-Fi "access point" or "home" network.
• The complete app functionality necessitates a Lionel Legacy Base.

Important Notes:

• The engine control functionality is compatible exclusively with Lionel Legacy engines; Lionel TMCC engines are not currently supported.
• To utilize the Legacy Engine Control feature, users must possess a Lionel Legacy Base.
• To prevent potential accidents like engine collisions, users employing the new Legacy Engine Control feature should ensure quick access to turning off track power as a precautionary measure.
